BAISLEY, AMOS, arrived in Baker County 1867 by wagon train. He died in 1871. At that time, his widow returned to the East. Sons Samuel and Jeremiah took active part in the early life of the valley. Samuel rode a mule on their trek out West. Later he became owner of Baisley Elkhorn Mine.
