July 2003 I am looking for information on James and Bridget Merney (Murney) They lived in La Grande, Union county from approx 1890 to 1901. James died in May of 1900 or so. I know only that he was buried in a Catholic Cemetary in La Grande. I don't know which one. He was a Civil War Veteran and was disabled. They had several children. I expect one or two of them lived in the area. As Bridget and James moved to Oregon from Wisconsin when he was in his late 60's after spending 30-40 yrs in Wisconsin. Any info greatly appreciated. families that lived in Union
County. I have found a William
and also a Charles Chattin
listed on the 1910 US Federal
Census as living in Union
County. William's location was
listed as Summerville and
Charles's was N Elgin Pct. Any
help would be appreciated. I
believe these are 2 of my great
great grandfather's brothers.
Both served in the military at
one point because my great great
grandfather only saw them 1
time, at an Old Soldier's
Convention, after the rest of
the family went further west and
he stayed in Iowa. Would love
to get in touch with anyone
having Chattin linage to see if

LITTLETON and SELF families. Would appreciate any help from anyone on these two families that were in Union Co. from at least 1900 until 1931 or later. Homer & Nancy LITTLETON died Union Co. on 2/26/1931 and 6/30/1931 respectively. They and her son, Fred SELF, are listed in the 1920 and 1930 census in Union Co.
