Notes on Olive Caroline Balter Olive Caroline died at her home at 4:30 a.m. in Kuna, Ada co., Idaho. She had married Simeon Adison Fillmore 27 Mar 1912 at El Dorado, Butler Co., Kansas. Simeon was born 12 Jul 1890 in Keighly, Butler co., Kansas and d. 9 Mar 1950 in Kuna, Ada Co., ID. 1895 - Ollie & Alice, Nellie & Wilie Balter are listed as students at Prairie Creek school, District 5, Wallowa Co., teacher was S. P. Crow. Olive Caroline Balter Olive Caroline Balter was born at Benton, Kansas September 12,1886 to Edward and Elizabeth Balter. While still a small child , her parents and older sister moved from Kansas to the Wallowa Valley in Oregon and homesteaded near Joseph, Oregon. Later moving back to Kansas there she grew to womanhood, where she met and later married Simeon Addison Fillmore, on March 27, 1912 at El Dorado, Kansas. They established their home near Leon, Kansas, here they engaged in farming and stock raising. Later, in November 1918, they moved to Idaho where they made their home in the Maple Grove District where they engaged in farming. They moved from there to the Lake Lowell district in 1923 and continued farming until November 1939 when they moved to Kuna, Idaho where they lived until she passed away. To this union was born 4 children , her husband Addison and two children , Frances and Betty having proceeded her in passing. She joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was baptized in 1922, she lived a full Christian life. Surviving her are a daughter Margaret Crawford of Nampa, Idaho, a son Donald Fillmore of Kuna, Idaho, two sisters Alice Oliver of Wichita, Kansas and Blanche Faunce of Richmond, California, two brothers Clarence Balter of Hope, Idaho and Lawrence Balter of New Plymouth, Idaho and seven Grand Children.
