To: bartom@columbia-center.org Subject: Columbia Cy Ancestors First of all you Thompsons ,thank you for taking on this page, and the good job you have done . I have been researching the area for some time, with the center of my interest being Sauvies Island, Scapoose ,Columbia City, and Clarke cy Wash. Over the years , Ive found and collected quite a bit of original stuff to include a large collection of maps and a number of memoirs ,letters, manuscripts ,etc. most of it unpublished, concerning the area. I would like to share it and will begin monitoring and answering queries -- most all of my info is genealogical in nature, as I have already donated those items and mss. of general historical value to O.H.S. and several other societies inVancouver. Family names I have info for ---- BONSER,CAPLES,CRAWFORD,PATTERSON,HALSTEAD,COPELAND ,THOMAS,ARMSTRONG,DART,ENGLISH,SHOEMAKER,HENRICI I have also worked up much on original DLCs on Sauvies Island ,as previous published maps etc are incomplete and inaccurate ,as the land was being speculated and changing hands at a rapid rate, from the first year of the DLC law. I have about 1500 pre 1920 photos of early folks in the families mentioned , and some early Columbia,Clarke ,and Sauvies Island Views and houses. Ihave donated many to OHS , but the family photos may be of interest to fellow geneaologists . If there is some way I can help you please contact me Thanks again----- Roger Knowles Thompson 9873 E 2nd St Tucson Az 85748 (520) 296- 6876 Otho@Flash.net - Sun Oct 12 16:50:21 1997 From: KSulli2610@aol.com I'm looking for information on Archie l.
