POULSON, PETER - He came west by wagon train and got into freighting between Umatilla and Silver City, Idaho. In 1868, he settled in Powder Valley, worked ranches. In 1871 bought acres on Rock Creek. The ranch plus more acres has been in the family 100 years through Pearl Poulson Hayhurst. His living descendants in Baker County are:
