GARDNER, BAZBELL came by the way of boat from the Atlantic seacoast to Seattle, then down to Vancouver, Washington and finally with his family he came to Baker Valley. His son, FRANK was born here in 1863. His other sons were ALVA, CHARLIE, LEWIS, BELL and WALTER.


GARDNER, J. B. He arrived in Baker County 1864. He owned a mine on Trail Creek which he worked in the summer time: also owned a jewelry store which is the present day Palmer Jewelry. It took three days by wagon to make the trip to the mine from Baker City.
