BLATT, PHELPS posted by Pat Gaither on Wednesday, February 5, 1997

Max BLATT was born in 1888 in Holteveau, Kiel, Germany. He came to the United States and was naturalized in Oregon. He married 9-19-1915 in Pendleton, OR. to Erna Mae PHELPS. They had 4 children and divorced in about 1920. Have searched lots and lots of records trying to locate him. Family rumor has it that he returned to Germany. Hoped that maybe someone doing research in Umatilla Co., may have come across something on the elusive Max BLATT. Thank you for your time and consideration.

RATCLIFF, SIGAFUS, WELLS, WILKINSON posted by Mike Reed on Saturday, February 15, 1997

My grandmother, Mary J. RATCLIFF, was born in Pendleton in 1895. When I was in Pendleton three years ago (early in my family history search) I was unable to find any information connecting her parents (Joseph C. RATCLIFF and Ardelia WILKINSON) to the area. I did find her in the 1900 federal census living as the adopted daughter of a seventy year old woman named Mary WELLS. (I knew from my father's birth certificate that Mary RATCLIFF had the adopted name WELLS.) Mary WELLS seemed to be related to my grandfather's side of the family (SIGAFUS, originally in PA, then in IL after the Civil War). Would appreciate any help or advice you might offer. Have been unable to go any farther with the RATCLIFF-WILKINSON family search. Thanks

CLARK, PEPPER, WILSON posted by Gwen Wall on Sunday, April 20, 1997

Seeking information on the following couple: James PEPPER b 1863 Fort Boise, Idaho, married 1896 Jessie CLARK, apparently in Oregon. In 1900 this couple was living in Ukiah, Umatilla Co., Oregon. They had no children. I have not been able to find them after this. Did they both die? Did they have any children after 1900? Where did they go? James PEPPER is the youngest brother of my 2ggm Margaret PEPPER WILSON, and I want to find out what happened to him. Any help will be appreciated.
